Patrik Guindon, Vice President Corporate Development
Leading IA American’s acquisition efforts is Patrik Guindon. Mr. Guindon has served as Director, Chief Actuary, Appointed Actuary and Treasurer of life insurance companies including American Founders Life Insurance Company, Columbia Universal Life Insurance Company, and World Service Life Insurance Company. His responsibilities have included involvement in the merger, acquisition and demutualization of several companies and blocks of business. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and holds a BSc. in Statistics from Simon Fraser University in British Colombia.
Since joining IA American in 2009, Mr. Guindon has been responsible for directing activity with respect to mergers and acquisitions in the United States. IA has allocated a total of $250 million for this strategic plan in the U.S.
