Marv Reber, Director of Underwriting and New Business
Marv Reber is in his 25th year working in various home office underwriting and operations positions following a career as a medical technologist. Marv joined IAP in 2007 from Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee where he worked in underwriting management for six years. He has completed the FLMI, CLU and FALU designations. He has also received several certificates in facilitation skills and training. Marv has served on the Academy of Life Underwriting Education Committee and is a past President of the Wisconsin Association of Life and Health Underwriters. He has also completed an MBA, with emphasis on leadership issues such as organizational development, training and change management.
His research and interest in management topics led to his role as a contributing editor to On the Risk magazine. His articles have focused on management issues related to underwriting. Marv has conducted leadership and management training throughout his career. He has been an occasional speaker at local and national meetings. Marv is responsible for the underwriting, new business, and agent contracting teams at IAP.
