Michael L. Stickney, President of IA American Life Insurance Company
Michael L. Stickney is President of IA American Life Insurance Company. He is responsible for the direction and management of the company’s development in the United States, as well as management of a long-standing business unit that was headquartered in Vancouver for the last 30 years. The company decided to establish its U.S. home office in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2007, and Mike relocated to Scottsdale at the time. He previously held the positions of Vice President and General Manager, Group Insurance at Industrial Alliance Pacific and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Seaboard Life Insurance Company.
Mike’s actuarial career spans 33 years. He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Mike holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree (Mathematics), both from the University of British Columbia.
